The most noticeable changes over previous models are the move to a rounded pintail for sensitivity when carving, Axis continued the concave deck to increase turning leverage and grip. The bottom shape is a well proven flat to very tucked soft rail (no bevels) with a super smooth entry rocker and a straight tail exit.
