A 2.5 hour private wingfoil lesson. You will learn the basics of wingfoiling and get to practice your skills on the water.
The lesson includes:
- Equipment overview
- safety and self rescue
- taxiing on a foil board
- first ride on the foil (depending on skill level displayed during the lesson)
- basic turns.
Note: students must have already taken a wingSUP lesson with Azure Watersports or be assessed by an Azure Watersports instructor to be a competent wingsurfer (using a non foil board). This generally means the student has wing handling skills and can sail a board without the foil around a triangular course (upwind, downwind and across the wind).
The lessons are typically run from Peterhead Marina in Aberdeenshire but may also be run from other locations in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire. Lessons are weather dependent, if the conditions are unsuitable then the lesson will be rescheduled to a mutually agreeable date.
The voucher is valid for 1 year from purchase.
All equipment will be provided except wetsuits, the student must bring their own wetsuit and wetsuit boots/ old pair of trainers.
Minimum age of student is 18 years.
Lessons do not run between December and March unless agreed in advance with us.
All students must be confident swimmers.
